Description

A Strategic Manual for Critical Readers, Thinkers and Writers is a manual style textbook that provides a set of critical reading, thinking, and writing strategies for instructors and students to utilize as they engage with a prescribed curriculum of reading, writing, and study skills for college coursework. These reading and critical thinking tools help students to analyze their thought process as they engage with reading the text, thinking critically and metacognitively, as well as learning to respond to what they read by utilizing the writing process. Through this practice students develop important critical thinking and metacognition skills along with other reading and writing strategies ensuring their academic success across many disciplines. This proposed text is easily adapted to an E-text which makes it a natural component for any of the popular technological course components currently being marketed.

Each chapter contains specific topics for students to focus on the logical progression of reading and writing strategies while navigating their comprehension progress within each chapter.

This manual will include bibliographies, strategic critical reading, thinking, and writing activities, index, technological resources, and visual literacy.
