James Moten person
Dr. Moten is an Assistant Professor of Finance at East Central
University in Ada, Oklahoma, where he teaches finance and economics.
He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a Financial
Management concentration from Northcentral University.
He also holds a Master of Science in Finance, Master of Science in
Economics, Master of Science Accounting from Texas A&M University–
Commerce, a MBA from Cameron University in Lawton
Oklahoma and a Master of Science in Acquisition and Contract
Management from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne
Florida. His professional licensure includes a Series 65: Uniform
Investment Adviser Law Examination (Investment Advisor Representative),
a Series 26: Investment Company Products/Variable
Contracts Limited Principal, a Series 6: Investment Company/Variable Contracts Products Limited
Representative, a Series 63: Uniform Securities Agent State Law, Life and Health and Property Casualty
Insurance License. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional, Chartered
Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Mutual Fund CounselorSM (CMFC®) and a Retirement
Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®). Previously he served as a Financial Management/Budgeting Officer
for the United States Army from 1998–2005. He currently works for PFS Investments (Primerica
Financial Services) where he assists families in financial, insurance, retirement, education
and investment planning. He previously taught full-time for University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
in Belton, Texas; McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas; Texas A&M University–Central
Texas in Killeen, Texas; and Concordia University in Austin, Texas. Additionally, he served as an
adjunct for Liberty University, Regent University, Capella University, Southern New Hampshire
University, American Military University, Huston Tillotson University, and Jarvis Christian College.
James Rauch person
Dr. Rauch is an associate professor at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where he teaches finance and economics. He grew up in St. Paul, MN and received his B.A. from St. Cloud State University in economics. Dr. Rauch received his M.A. in monetary economics from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and his Ph.D. in economics from Colorado State University, writing his dissertation on bank consolidation. He worked as a Credit Analyst for Green Tree Financial Corporation in St. Paul.
Dr. Rauch's research interests are in small business bank lending and casino financial management, and he is published in each topic. He is a consultant for Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce in Ada, Oklahoma on topics such as predictive analytics, regression analysis, financial analysis, and economic analysis. In 2002, he was a visiting fellow at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam. While there, he wrote a paper on developing small business bank lending in Vietnam. Dr. Rauch is married to his wonderful wife Monica and they have 3 kids: Victoria, Catherine, and Andrew.
